Location, Location, Location... Is it true what they say? Well, see for yourself!

If you look up "Haven" in the dictionary, it says, " A place of refuge or rest; a sanctuary.” "Retreat" is described as "a healing vacation for the heart & soul."

I cannot think of a better way to describe The Haven & The Retreat neighborhoods at River Ridge. When you come over the mountains into the valley of Hampton Cove, you just want to say “ahhhhh.” It makes you want to relax and enjoy being home, as you take in the peace and quiet.

River Ridge is such a beautiful community, nestled in nature and the mountains. The amenities here are appealing for everyone. You have beautiful walking trails in a serene setting with nature all around you, including lots of wild flowers. There are a couple of small lakes with fish galore, and you also have access to the river that runs along the base of The Retreat part of the development. If you like to canoe or kayak, this is just another advantage to being right here.

There is a wonderful lodge-type clubhouse that is used by the community for covered dish suppers and monthly get-togethers, or anything that the homeowners want to use it for. There is also a gorgeous pool with a special area just for little ones. A new added feature in the area is the absolutely beautiful, brand-new elementary school, Goldsmith Sachs. It will open in the spring.

We hope that this community will appeal to all, and would love for future homebuyers to come and view this unique refuge. The Model Home is open Sun & Mon 1-5, Tues-Thurs 11-5, Sat 10-4, Closed Fridays.

Holiday Charity Contest Winner: Chastity Davenport & The Manna House!

The winner of our 2010 Holiday Charity Contest is Chastity Davenport of Huntsville, AL. Chastity chose the Manna House as her charity.

Chastity's winning entry: "My vote would be for the Manna House located on South Parkway next door to The Rock church. Manna House is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to caring for the needs of the poor and hungry of the Tennessee Valley (and beyond) as a cooperative effort that networks churches, businesses and concerned individuals. We understand that “man shall not live by bread alone,” therefore, we address the spiritual needs of individuals and families and seek to identify the underlying causes of poverty. I have been a part of The Manna House personally and truly believe that on a daily basis they improve the lives of many within our community. Please choose them as the winner not just for the money but also for the recognition of how others can donate money or time to be a part of this wonderful organization. We can work together to better our community and save lives."

Manna House is a collective endeavor of compassionate, caring people. To address the ongoing, ever-changing needs of the Tennessee Valley, it truly embraces T.E.A.M. work: (Together Everyone Achieves More.) Combined compassion creates a synergy that accomplishes more as a team than as an individual. There’s a place for YOU at Manna House.

The Manna House Food Distribution Center operates under the auspices of The Rock Urban Outreach Center, an independent entity for community transformation. It does not discriminate based on race, religion, ethnicity, or social status. We networks with H.A.P., a clearing house organization, to verify the accuracy of data submitted from applicants. Manna House also works with Angel Food, a program that provides assistance to families that need supplemental resources on a monthly basis.

Jeff Benton Homes is proud to be able to help out such a wonderful organization.
